The Quran in general is divided into chapters (surah) and verses (ayat). It is additionally divided into 30 equal sections, called juz . Of note, division into Juzʾ has no relevance to the meaning of the Quran and anyone can start reading from anywhere in the Quran. The divisions of juz do not fall evenly along chapter lines. These divisions make it easier to pace the reading over a month’s period, reading a fairly equal amount each day. This is particularly important during the month of Ramadan, when it is recommended to complete at least one full reading of the Quran from cover to cover. Some use this divisions to facilitate recitation of the Quran in a month, especially during Ramadan when the entire Quran is recited in the Tarawih prayers, reciting approximately one juzʾ a night.
The thirteenth juz’ of the Quran contains parts of three chapters of the Quran: the second part of Surah Yusuf (verse 53 to the end), all of Surah Ra'd, and all of Surah Ibrahim.
“This that We reveal [O Muhammad] to you is news from the unperceivable realms... And you were not with them (Joseph’s brothers) when they were conspiring to put together their plan. And most of the people, although you ardently strive (to help them) are not experiencing true faith.(Whereas) you do not even ask them for any payment (to warn them of the reality). It is simply a reminder to the worlds (man and jinn). And there are many signs within the heavens and earth, from which they turn away and leave behind. And most of them believe in Allah only as dualists (by associating their assumed gods or selves)!” (Quran 12:102-106)
“...Had Allah willed, He would surely have enabled the realization of the absolute reality to all of mankind...” (Quran 13:31)
“Allah abolishes what He wills or forms (into a perceivable reality, what He wills), and with Him is the Mother of the Book (primary knowledge; the knowledge of the ways in which the Names will manifest at every instant).” (Quran 13:39)
“...Allah does as He wills (Allah manifests the qualities of His Names that He wishes!).” (Quran 14:27)
“[It will be] during the period the earth (the body) will be replaced by another earth (another body), and the heavens as well (individual consciousness will also be turned into another system of perception)...” (Quran 14:48)
