Juz' 22

The Quran in general is divided into chapters (surah) and verses (ayat). It is additionally divided into 30 equal sections, called juz . Of note, division into Juzʾ has no relevance to the meaning of the Quran and anyone can start reading from anywhere in the Quran. The divisions of juz do not fall evenly along chapter lines. These divisions make it easier to pace the reading over a month’s period, reading a fairly equal amount each day. This is particularly important during the month of Ramadan, when it is recommended to complete at least one full reading of the Quran from cover to cover. Some use this divisions to facilitate recitation of the Quran in a month, especially during Ramadan when the entire Quran is recited in the Tarawih prayers, reciting approximately one juzʾ a night.

The twenty-second juz’ of the Quran starts from verse 31 of the 33rd chapter (33.Al-Azhab :31) and continues to verse 27 of the 36th chapter (36.Ya-Sin :27).

Select Quotations:

“Muhammad is not the father of one of your men! But he is the Rasul of Allah, the final of Nabis (the summit of perfection).” (Quran 33:40)

“Indeed, we offered the Trust (living conscious of the Names) to the heavens (consciousness of the self, ego) and the earth (the body) and the mountains (the organs), and they declined to bear it (their Name compositions did not have the capacity to manifest it) and feared it; but man (the consciousness to manifest the Names that compose vicegerency) undertook to bear it. Indeed, he is unjust (insufficient in duly living his reality) and ignorant (of the knowledge of His infinite Names).” (Quran 33:72)

“Verily Iblis proved his assumption (regarding man) to be correct, except for some of the believers they all followed him. And yet he (Iblis/the jinn) had no influential power at all over them! We only did this to reveal the distinction between those who truly believe in the eternal life to come and those who are in doubt thereof...” (Quran 34:20-21)

“...Among His servants, only those who have knowledge (of what is denoted by the name Allah and who are aware of its Might) truly feel awe towards Allah! (realize their nothingness in respect of His magnificence)...” (Quran 35:28)

“It is HU who has made you vicegerents upon the earth (the caliphate attribute is ‘made’ not ‘created’. This fine distinction should be pondered upon with care! A.H.). Whoever is ungrateful (whoever denies his vicegerency for the sake of individual values and bodily pleasures) denies (the reality) against his own self! For the disbelief of those who disbelieve the knowledge of reality will not increase anything for them in the sight of their Rabb except loss.” (Quran 35: 39)

“...You will never see a change in sunnatullah (the mechanics of Allah’s system).” (Quran 35:43)
