106. QURAYSH

 

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ


لِإِيلَافِ قُرَيْشٍ {1} إِيلَافِهِمْ رِحْلَةَ الشِّتَٓاءِ وَالصَّيْفِ {2} فَلْيَعْبُدُوا رَبَّ هٰذَا الْبَيْتِ {3} أَلَّذِي أَطْعَمَهُم مِنْ جُوعٍ وَاٰمَنَهُم مِنْ خَوْفٍ {4

 

A`oodhu biLlaahi min al-shayṭaani l-rajeem

Bismi Llaahi l-raḥmaani l-raḥeem

1.’Li’eelaafi quraysh 2. ‘eelaafihim riḥlata l-shshitaa’i wa l-ṣṣayfi 3. Faly`abudoo rabba haatha l-bayti 4. Alathee ‘aṭ`amahum-mmin joo`in wa ‘aamanahum-mmin khawfin

 

By the one who is denoted by the name Allah (who created my being with His Names in accord with the meaning of the letter ‘B’), the Rahman, the Rahim.

1. In order to establish acquaintanceship and respect for the Quraysh,

2. For the safety and comfort of their winter and summer journeys.

3. Let them serve the Rabb of this city (as those who acknowledge the Truth of non-duality)!

4. Who fed them (saving them fromhunger) and secured them from fear.

 

107. AL-MA’UN

 

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ


أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّينِ {1} فَذٰلِكَ الَّذِي يَدُعُّ الْيَتِيمَ {2} وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَى طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ {3} فَوَيْلٌ لِلْمُصَلِّينَ {4

أَلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنْ صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ {5} أَلَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَاؤُونَ {6} وَيَمْنَعُونَ الْمَاعُونَ {7

 

A`oodhu biLlaahi min al-shayṭaani l-rajeem

Bismi Llaahi l-raḥmaani l-raḥeem

1.‘Araayta l-lathee yukaththibu bi-ddeeni 2. Fathalika l-lathee yadu`u`u l-yateema 3. Wa laa yaḥuḍḍu `alaa ṭa`aami l-miskeeni 4. Fawaylun li-l-muṣalleena 5. Allatheena hum `an ṣalaatihim saahoona 6. Allatheena hum yuraa’oona 7. Wa-yamna`oona l-maa`oona

 

By the one who is denoted by the name Allah (who created my being with His Names in accord with the meaning of the letter ‘B’), the Rahman, the Rahim.

1. Did you see the one who denies his religion (the sunnatullah)?

2. Who scolds the orphan - pushing and shoving him,

3. And who does not encourage feeding the needy (stingy, selfish)!

4. So, woe to those who pray (out of custom),

5. Who are heedless (cocooned) of (the experience of the meaning of) their salat (which is an ascension [miraj] to their innermost essential reality; their Rabb).

6. They are the ones who make show off their deeds!

7. And prevent good!

 

108. AL-KAWTHAR

 

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ


إِنَّٓا أَعْطَيْنَاكَ الْكَوْثَرَ {1} فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانْحَرْ {2} إِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ الْأَبْتَرُ {3

  

A`oodhu biLlaahi min al-shayṭaani l-rajeem

Bismi Llaahi l-raḥmaani l-raḥeem

1. Innaa ‘a`aaṭaynaaka l-kawthara 2. Faṣalli li-rabbika wa-anhar 3. Inna shaani’aka huwa l-‘abtaru

 

By the one who is denoted by the name Allah (who created my being with His Names in accord with the meaning of the letter ‘B’), the Rahman, the Rahim.

1. Indeed, We gave you the Kawthar!

2. So, experience salat for your Rabb and sacrifice (your ego)!

3. Indeed, it is the one who resents you that is cut off (whose progeny has been made discontinuous)!

 

109. AL-KAFIRUN

 

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ


قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ {1} لَا أَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ {2} وَلَا أَنْتُمْ عَابِدُونَ مَا أَعْبُدُ {3} وَلَا أَنَا عَابِدٌ مَا عَبَدْتُمْ {4

وَلَا أَنْتُمْ عَابِدُونَ مَا أَعْبُدُ {5} لَكُمْ دِينُكُمْ وَلِيَ دِينِ {6

 

A`oodhu biLlaahi min al-shayṭaani l-rajeem

Bismi Llaahi l-raḥmaani l-raḥeem

1.Qul yaa ‘ayyuha l-kaafiroona 2. Laa ‘a`abudu maa t`abudoona 3. Wa laa ‘antum `aabidoona maa ‘a`abudu 4. Wa laa ‘anaa `aabidun mmaa `abadttum 5. Wa laa ‘antum `aabidoona maa ‘a`abudu 6. Lakum deenukum waliya deeni

 

By the one who is denoted by the name Allah (who created my being with His Names in accord with the meaning of the letter ‘B’), the Rahman, the Rahim.

1. Say, “O those who deny the knowledge of the reality!”

2. “I do not deify that which you deify!”

3. “Nor are you worshippers of (in servitude to) what I worship.”

4. “Nor will I worship (serve) that which you deify.”

5. Nor will you worship (serve) what I serve.”

6. “For you is your (understanding of) religion and for me is (my understanding of) religion!”
