Ash-Sharh (94th Chapter)


بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ {1} وَوَضَعْنَا عَنْكَ وِزْرَكَ {2} أَلَّذِي أَنْقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ {3} وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ {4} فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا {5} إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا {6} فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَانْصَبْ {7} وَإِلَى رَبِّكَ فَارْغَبْ {8

 

A`oodhu biLlaahi min al-shayṭaani l-rajeem

Bismi Llaahi l-raḥmaani l-raḥeem

1 alam rashraḥ laka ṣadraka 2 wa waḍa`ana `anka wizraka 3 alladhee anqaḍa ẓahrak 4 wa rafa`ana laka ẓikraka 5 fa’inna ma`a l-`usri yusran 6 inna ma`a l-`usri yusran 7 fa’idhaa faraghta fa’inṣab 8 wa ilaa rabbika faarghab

 

By the one who is denoted by the name Allah (who created my being with His Names in accord with the meaning of the letter ‘B’), the Rahman, the Rahim.

1. Did We not expand your breast (broaden your capabilities)?

2. Did We not remove your burden (of your identity) from you (by revealing the reality to you)?

3. Which had weighed (heavy) upon your back (overburdened you)!

4. Did We not exalt your remembrance (by reminding you of, and making you live by the reality)?

5. So surely with every hardship there is ease.

6. Yes, surely with every hardship, there is ease.

7. So when you are free (of your duties) labor (for your actual duty)!

8. And evaluate your Rabb!

 

Those who want to:

-       Progress spiritually

-       Fathom with ease the knowledge, observations and discoveries they encounter

-       Be free from distress, hardship or depression

Should recite these verses 70 times a day. They will definitely reach the outcome they desire.
